British Sugar Group's vision is to be a leading supplier of agriculturally based products from an expanding and sustainable global footprint. By continually innovating we aim to be one of the world's most efficient producers, providing our customers with an ever increasing range of both sugar and non-sugar products and great service.

By pursuing that vision we have grown into one of the largest sugar producers in the world; employing more than 42,000 people, operating in 10 countries and producing around 5 million tonnes of sugar each year.

Our operations stretch from the UK and Spain in Europe, to southern Africa, to North and South China, encompassing climates suited to both beet and cane, and sited in countries at all stages of economic development.

But we have moved far beyond sugar, expanding the range of co-products we produce, which include animal feed, soil conditioning and landscaping products, electricity and even tomatoes. The Group is also involved in the developing bioethanol industry and in seed coating and enhancement technology.
