Mark Carr

Mark Carr AB Sugar Chief Executive

Mark Carr gained a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of wales in 1986 and an MBA from Warwick University in 1997. He is a chartered engineer of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

Appointed as Group Chief Executive Officer of British Sugar in April 2004, he was previously Managing Director of Corus Strip Products UK.

In his time as CEO at British Sugar, Mark has overseen the repositioning of a largely UK centric sugar business to establish one of global scale with an exciting ongoing growth agenda.

Mark is a Director of Illovo Sugar Ltd, Director of Vivergo Fuels Ltd, Director of the World Sugar Research Organisation and Chairman of Azucarera Ebro SA.
 

Richard Pike

Richard Pike AB Sugar Financial Director

Richard Pike joined British Sugar Group in 2010 from Bridgemere UK, where he was Group Operations and Finance Director. Prior to this Richard held senior finance positions with Manchester Airport Group, Pilkington and Scapa Group. He has significant experience in business development, capital expenditure planning and execution, joint venture management, international operations and the development of financial best practice. 
 
 

Quintin Heath

Quintin Heath AB Sugar Human Resources Director

Quintin Heath joined AB Sugar in 2010 from ABF's grocery division, where he was HR Director. Prior to this, he was HR Director for Twinings Ovo, ABF's international beverage business, which he joined in 2001. Quintin also has major HR and operational experience in the airline industry and retail services. He holds an MSc in HR and Business from Aston University and a BA in Economics.

 

 

Gino De Jaegher

Daniel West AB Sugar Strategy & Business Development Director

Daniel West joined AB Sugar in July 2011 from global consulting firm Booz & Company. During his time at Booz, Daniel gained extensive experience delivering strategy, commercial and performance improvement initiatives for process businesses around the world; in Europe, the USA, Western & Southern Africa, Russia and the Middle East. Daniel holds degree in Politics Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
 

 
 

Tony Cheung

Gino De Jaegher Managing Director
British Sugar

Gino De Jaegher was appointed Managing Director of British Sugar in 2007. He joined British Sugar from Procter and Gamble, where he was Managing Director, for the company's UK and Ireland Paper Business. Educated in Belgium, he holds a first degree in Economics and a Masters in Marketing. 

Juan-Luis Rivero

Graham Clark Managing Director
Illovo Sugar

Graham was appointed to the Illovo Board in 1997 and as Managing Director on 1 April 2009. He joined the sugar industry in Malawi in 1980 and occupied several financial and management positions, as part of which he obtained extensive sugar industry experience throughout Africa and internationally. Participation in the 2005/06 reform of the EU sugar regime saw him play a leadership role representing the interests of sugar producers in Least Developed Countries. Graham holds an honours degree in accounting and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. 


 

 

Tony Cheung Managing Director
 AB Sugar China

Tony Cheung was appointed Managing Director of AB Sugar China in 2009 and is responsible for British Sugar Group's Chinese operations. Tony has an in-depth knowledge of the Chinese agri-food industry having held senior positions with a number of major multi-national companies. A business graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic, Tony also holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong.

 

Juan-Luis Rivero Managing Director
Azucarera

Juan Luis Rivero is Managing Director of Azucarera since 1st October 2010 after joining the company as Finance Director in 2005. He previously held various finance and business performance roles in a number of multinational companies. He has a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid.
